Milk of Golden Deliciousness

This post is for my beautiful Mum (hi Mum!) and for all of us who love our hot beverages and feel the cold. It is full of beneficial compounds and truly delicious, but if you see something you can't eat or don't like, feel free to swap it out for something more to your liking.

Oo! Doesn't that look delicious? It is too.

Ingredients

1/8 tsp ground turmeric

1/8 tsp of ground ginger or 1/4 tsp fresh, grated ginger (I used fresh this time because I had some and I like the zing)

1 teaspoon creamed honey

1 teaspoons coconut cream

1 cup milk of choice (for me this was almond milk)

Black pepper

Pop everything but the pepper in a small pot and heat over a gentle heat until just too hot to put your finger in (if you have chosen almond milk like me you need to be a bit careful here, heat it too much and it will split and you will have to start all over again).

Pass through a fine strainer into your cup and add a dusting of black pepper, now, now, before you say 'ew', black pepper will not only help your body absorb the beneficial compounds in the turmeric, it is wonderfully warming and really delicious in this drink, that said, if you really don't like the idea, leave it out.

And now, find a comfy chair and enjoy. Cheers!
